Frequently asked
Take a photo of your bare wrist with a bank card on the back of your hand, pick one of fourteen watch designs and a case size, and the app renders an eight-second film of that watch on your wrist — at its exact real-world size.
Hold your hand up, wrist facing the camera, with the bank card flat on the back of your hand and all four corners visible. Use daylight if you can, keep the phone steady, and fill the frame with your hand and wrist. The card is only a ruler — its face is redacted on your phone before anything is uploaded.
Yes. The card face is redacted on your device before your photo leaves it. We never receive your card number, name, or any card details — the card is used purely as a size reference (85.60 × 53.98 mm).
That's the whole point. The card calibrates your photo, and the watch is rendered at the exact millimetre size you chose (28–47 mm). Every film is verified against the true size before it's delivered to you.
Standard (free) try-ons are rendered in the order they arrive and usually take a few minutes. Fast ($0.99) skips the queue, and Fast+HD ($1.99) skips the queue with the highest-resolution output. You'll get a push notification when your film is ready.
The only reason a photo is rejected is a missing or unreadable calibration card. Retake with the card flat on the back of your hand, all four corners visible, in good light. Framing, angle, and background never cause a rejection.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple — request one through your App Store purchase history. If a paid video failed to generate, email us at support@onthewrist.win and we'll sort it out directly.
No. The app is device-scoped — no sign-up, no login, no password.
No — they're AI-generated visualisations. Your photo's geometry (wrist position, watch size and placement) is measured from the calibration card, and AI renders the finish. They help you judge size and style, but finishes and colours may differ from a real watch.
Email support@onthewrist.win and we'll delete your submitted photos and videos. Deleting the app also removes your local data and push token.
